My cable failed and so did my friend's (2 for 2). So, that part is not good. It was also not straight forward to diagnose the cable as the issue. There seems to be some Bluetooth connectivity between the cable and the light and/or battery.

However, I was pleased to be able to buy the cable for $12; though a bit disappointed that shipping was $12. It seems this was a quality issue -- maybe the shipping cost should have been waived. That said, my light is several years old, and I am grateful to have it running well again.

I did get a helpful message from the service department after receiving the part. It was great to have engagement, but it was a bit late. I think there must have been a companywide multiday holiday.
