Multi Beam Patterns
Monteer 8000 GALAXY V2.0 is able to switch between full, spot and flood beam patterns, with top 3 LEDs putting out a maximum of 4800LM of flood light, bottom 2 LEDs throwing out 3200LM of more focused light.

The backlit control button will show green when the battery power is above 20%, red between 5-20% remaining, and flashing red at less than 5% remaining. Note: The light’s intensity mode will lock into the lowest setting when the power is 5% or less.

The Magicshine 8000 was our test winner 12 months ago, but it gets a couple of improvements this year, the most noticeable of which is the new wireless remote included in the box. It’s no surprise that we’ve given it full marks and named it the best mountain bike light on the test.
The wireless remote for the Monteer 8000S only comes with the V2 edition and while it may cost a little more for the V2, the convenience of the remote makes it totally worth it. At first, I thought the remote control was a little gimmicky. However, once I had a chance to test the Monteer 8000S in real riding conditions, I now love the remote control.
Overall, we found the Magicshine Monteer 8000S V2.0 to be a welcome improvement to the already impressive 8000S headlamp. The 8000 lumen output is more than any rider needs as it turns nighttime into day with a wide and even beam.
Boasting a brain-bending 8,000 lumens, the Galaxy’s immense brightness is second to none. It lights up the trail and its surroundings with fantastic competence, making it a one-stop shop for gnarly trail riding.
